Remote Access
Reach the Machine That Does the Computing
Open the desktop or a shell of any paired server from the browser. Direct connections, short-lived tickets, an audit trail.

Remote Desktop Live
- Peer-to-peer WebRTC with no relay and no TURN
- Get File to fetch a file from the remote machine
- Sound, H.264 video with a VP8 fallback and quiet reconnect
- Keyboard layouts, a Connected Now list with End, and a notice window
- Blank Remote Screen, for platform administrators
Server Terminal Live
- A browser shell: a PTY on Mac and Linux, a line-mode PowerShell on Windows
- Single-use ticket that expires in 60 seconds
- Rights re-checked every 60 seconds; the session closes if they are removed
- Open and close are audited
What It Does Not Do
- No recording, chat or consent prompts
- Unattended access (reboot, lock screen, Wake-on-LAN) is a design only
- macOS Screen Recording permission needs a person at the machine
- Windows capture and audio paths, and the Windows terminal line mode, have had less testing than macOS

Remote Access Questions
Does remote desktop use a relay server?
No. It is peer-to-peer WebRTC only, with no relay and no TURN service. The two machines connect directly.
What can I do in a remote desktop session?
See and control the machine, hear its sound, fetch a file from it (Get File), use your keyboard layout, and reconnect quietly after a drop. A Connected Now list shows who is in a session and lets an administrator end it.
Is there unattended access, recording or chat?
Unattended access (reboot, lock screen, Wake-on-LAN) is a design document, not a feature. Recording, chat and consent prompts are deliberately not built. On macOS, Screen Recording permission can only be granted by a person at the machine.
Who can open a terminal?
Platform administrators for any server, and console users for servers in their own organisation. Each terminal opens with a single-use ticket that expires in 60 seconds, is re-checked every 60 seconds and closes if your rights are removed. Opening and closing are audited.
